Gente! South Africa is led by Geruza Patricia Bumba.

Born in Luanda, Angola, Geruza trained as a commercial litigation lawyer in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Her love for authentic connections led her to build a career in communications, where she provided translation services for multinational brands and campaigns, including Control Risks’ global RiskMap campaign as well as regional community outreach initiatives by Lawyers for Human Rights.

Geruza was also previously a journalist for some of South Africa’s most respected media houses.

She works with brands entering or looking to expand their presence in Portuguese-speaking countries to craft messaging that is context and culturally aware.
